My father was a diplomat and he was serving in Geneva when I was born.
From the day of my birth until I finally settled in my native country Brazil, I spent 19 years living as a nomad. I can really say "I've been around"! I have lived in Chicago, Baltimore, Paris, Guatemala, Sydney, Canberra and Santiago to mention some of the cities where I lived and studied.
I sometimes think becoming an actress was a natural choice, considering all the different circumstances I had to adjust myself to (different cultures, languages). After all, actors are nomads in many ways as they are always changing characters whose lives are so very different from their own, and also learning to adapt themselves to different casts in the movies as well as in plays.
I remember when I was a little girl asking my mother (at the time we were living in Baltimore); what did one do to become a "movie star". I was always acting in my imagination.
My very first part was as Snow White, when I was five. It was a very funny experience once the little boy who was acting as Prince Charming and was supposed to wake me up with a kiss got embarassed and only pretended to kiss me and of course I was so into the part that without the proper kiss I woudn´t wake up which made the audience all laugh!
I love acting and today after many plays, soap operas and a couple of films I can say that it is always great fun to continue " playing" long after having left your childhood behind, and that nothing compares to the feeling of experiencing in this life, other lives through one´s characters.
I am fluent in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
